InnVentures fosters a spirit of giving at all levels of our organization. Throughout the year, staff members from our properties invest in the local community by organizing fundraisers, collecting food or clothing for people in need, gathering toys for children at the holidays, or even building houses with Habitat for Humanity. Each Marriott hotel we manage also participates in an annual fundraising campaign to benefit Children’s Miracle Network, an effort supported by Marriott International.
In 2004, we earned Marriott International’s Community Service Award. Some of our recent projects include:
- Donation of toiletries and bed linens to a local company that assembles care packages for soldiers serving in Iraq;
- Donation of auction items benefiting the Hillsboro and Beaverton (Oregon) Chambers of Commerce, and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center;
- Sponsorship of annual Toy & Joy Drive;
- Participation in Habitat for Humanity building project;
- Organization of a yard sale and silent auction to benefit Children’s Miracle Network; and
- Collection of toiletries and linens for Northwest Medical Teams, to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina.
